Take Me With You: A Round-the-World Journey to Invite a Stranger Home

This is a book written by Brad Newsham.  It tells of his 100-day journey to the Philippines, India, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Along the way a lot of people help him on his journey and he gets to know a little bit about each of them.  One major question he asks is if they have ever left their home country before.  If they haven’t they become eligible for his offer that he will present at the end of his trip.  At the end of the trip Newsham picks one of the people who helped him who haven’t left their home country to come back to America with him and travel around the country at his expense.  I thought this was relevant to my blog because it is a great example of how getting to know new people throughout the world can effect many peoples lives in a good way!  I plan to buy this book and see how the story turns out!

College-2-career.com’s Eric Snyder Offers His Coaching in Interviewing Skills

Eric Snyder coach’s interviewing skills in his 8 step winning strategy. “You can’t leave interviewing up to chance, you have to prepare,” Snyder says. “The first impression is the most critical. A decision is usually made in the first five minutes. If you have made a favorable impression, it can be easier from there. But making a professional first impression takes practice.”  He has many theories he believes will really help students have a successful interview. For more information, contact Eric Snyder, by phone at (415) 793-5292 or via www.college-2-career.com. The link to this full press release is at: http://www.pr.com/press-release/38491.  I feel this information is really important to this blog because it shows how being comfortable with meeting new people and have confidence while doing it is really critical in most people’s career’s as well.
